When you think of the word “revelation” what comes to mind? Our word for “revelation” comes to us from the Greek word “apokalupsis” which is a compound word from “apo” meaning “from” and “kalupto” meaning “to cover.” Thus, the word revelation means “to uncover” or “to reveal.” But perhaps a better rendering would be “to unravel” and I say this because the Book of Revelation continues to be the most puzzling and perplexing of all the books in the Bible.
