In this portion of the Olivet Discourse, Jesus continues addressing questions asked by His disciples concerning events that will occur at the end of the age. But, at this juncture Jesus begins speaking to them in parables, which was a favorite technique He used especially when explaining difficult matters in simplistic terms. Often times, Jesus spoke to the multitudes through use of illustrations taken from common, every day occurrences so that even a child could understand.
