Here’s a story that many of us can relate with here in the Sun Cities. It seems there was an elderly gentleman who loved playing golf. Unfortunately, his vision was failing him and so he had to rely on his playing partners to watch the flight of that little round white ball. One day he arrived at the golf course, but his regular playing partners weren’t available. Here it was a beautiful cloudless day, like so many days here in Arizona, and so he was anxiously pacing back and forth in the Pro Shop wondering if he was going to have to sit this one out. Another elderly gentleman walked up to him and asked, “What seems to be the problem?” The man explained his poor eyesight. Well, it just so happened that the other gentleman still enjoyed 20/20 vision. He exclaimed, “Why, I can see like a hawk! I’d be glad to ride around with you, today.” So, the man who was nearly blind gets up to the first tee and hits his ball right down the middle of the fairway. He then turned to his spotter and asked, “Well, did you see it?” “Yep,” the other man said, “I saw it all the way until it came to a stop.” “So, where did it go?” the golfer asked. The spotter paused for a moment and then said sheepishly, “Gee, I forgot!”
