In May of 1962 the first James Bond movie titled “Dr. No” was released in movie theaters across the country which featured a relatively unknown Scottish actor named Sean Connery. Almost overnight it became a blockbuster hit winning two golden globe awards. Over the last forty-six years twenty-one other James Bond movies have been produced starring six leading men playing this same fictional character, based on the novels by Ian Fleming, and whose codename was “007”. Oh by the way, if you didn’t pick up on it, this morning’s sermon title was taken from the 1977 Bond movie, “The Spy Who Loved Me” which starred English actor, Roger Moore.
